| Bicycle Trip : Two trips were arranged in April-May 2006 for boys and girls separately. Girls travelled in the Kolhapur district and visited the Panhala fort, Varananagar dairy and educational projects, textile and foundry industries in Ichalkaranji, silver industry in Hupari, Helpers of the Handicapped at Usgaon, Kambalwadi-cleanliness award winning village, Radhanagari Dam and Dajipur Centuary. Boys travelled in Raigad district and visited Alibaug-Janjira (Sea-fort), Murud-Janjira, Shrivardhan, Bhira Hydro-electric Power station, famous Ganesh temple and hot water springs at Pali etc. They travelled about 250km distance in 6 days. Bicycles were collected from local students. In all 40 boys and girls participated in the bicycle trip. |
