| Melghat study Tour : The study tour was conducted during June 8 - 14, 2006 at Melghat region, Amaravati district. 14 girls participated from the various parts of Maharashtra. They visited various people and organisations, which are working for the upliftment and welfare of Adiwasis in the field of self-employment, health, education, self help groups etc. They also visited interior villages and while having a close dialogue with the villagers, they also realized the curtains of scenic beauty hides the dark recesses of their life like poverty, illiteracy, malnutrition and unemployment. The group returned with disrupted mind but also with an urge to do something for the society.
